Aloha and welcome to my life on Maui!

What can I say, living on Maui is incredible. Maui has been my home for over 37 years. I arrive on Maui, at the age of nineteen with a surfboard and a hundred bucks in my pocket.  After living in Lahania for three years, I was tired of playing beach volleyball, and surfing Honolua Bay everyday.

My family means everything to me. With my wife, together we have built five homes together over the years, and raised four grown healthy children, and we have two granddaughters.   Staying focused and working hard has always been a priority with me.  My experience encircles land development, working with subdivisions, and project sales, I have extensive knowledge in the building industry.  Prior to real estate on Maui, I was a licensed contractor for 15 years, and owned and operated Nickens Interiors.  It was a retail, and contracting firm well known on the island.

I have been an active Maui Realtor for the last 15 years.  My area of expertise includes land development, residential sales, and condo sales.  I work hard at maintaining a strong internet presence for my buyers, and sellers.  My internet skills I been developing over the years is an advantage in internet marketing. I am one of Maui's top social media net workers, and ranked high in internet ranking.  I have links with real estate groups and agents all over the country. The area's that I specialize in include Wailea, South Maui, Upcountry Kula, Maui north shore, Hana and Haiku Maui which is my home of 30 years. I also work in Lahaina side, and Kapalua.

I am fortunate to work with The Wailea Group, LLC. Our firm is a top Wailea firm with three sales offices, and site office.  Our firm is a tight net sales group and family. We are in the process of remodeling our showroom to better serve our clients.

My wife Ivy, and I raised four kids together.  Our kids are grown up now, but we do have two beautiful granddaughters.

We have two sons, and two daughters. My son Nate is a computer programmer, and married to a Maui girl, Karla.  Micah, our oldest son, is the team manager for Da-Kine pro-surf team, Pro-Surfer, new papa, and part-time real estate agent. His beautiful wife is Melissa, who manages Chico's in the Shops at Wailea.  Rachel, my oldest daughter.  She graduated from FDIM Design School last year in Los Angles.  Meili my youngest is a horse enthusiast and works with kids on Maui.

My experience in island living, local knowledge, and lifestyle heavily reflects on my success. One of my greatest strengths, is a strong working relationship in the community.

Outside of work, I am still an avid surfer, wind surfer ( recently added to Da-Kine windsurf team), stand up board paddler. I also competed in Maui and Oahu surf contest for 10 years with my kids while they were growing up. I was top ranked in Maui at the time.

To relax I enjoy working in my organic garden.  I love to cook, using fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden.  I have a fruit orchard made up of oranges, papayas, bananas, mangos among other fruit trees. I believe in working hard, living healthy and playing hard. We are truly blessed living on Maui. We have been very active in our church over the years, attending Hope Chapel in Kihei.

I failed to mention, that I really enjoy working in real estate.  My goal is to be the best of the best in real estate. With my local knowledge and years of experience, you will find that it makes a hugh difference.  My clients have told me that I really work hard for them, trying to get the best price, for both buyers, and sellers.
